Job summary

Arcosa Shoring Products in Union City, MI, is seeking multiple 2nd shift Fitter/Welder. You will lay out, position, align, and fit fabricated metal parts for welding, tack-welding with MIG. The role requires reading blueprints and tolerances, with a focus on sub-assemblies and final products.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience (1+ year).
• Able to weld steel and aluminum.
• Ideal candidate will hold an AWS Certification.
• Experience reading blueprints, shop drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Must pass a 2-part weld test during interview.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld sub-assemblies into final product.
• Perform flat and horizontal groove welds.
• Accurately measure within specified tolerances.
• Read blueprints.
• Perform flat and horizontal fillet welds.
