Job summary

Zygo Corporation in Richmond, CA, is hiring a Metrology Technician (CMM) for 2nd shift. You will set up and operate CMMs, perform dimensional inspections, and ensure product conformance to drawings and GD&T requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of related precision manufacturing, dimensional inspection, quality, or metrology experience.
• 4 years of experience programming and operating CMM equipment (Brown & Sharpe, Leitz and/or Zeiss preferred).
• Experience with Zeiss CALYPSO and/or Hexagon Metrology PC-DMIS/QUINDOS software.
• Thorough understanding of GD&T per ASME/ANSI Y14.5.
• Strong ability to read drawings, customer specs, and 3D CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Set up, validate, and operate CMMs using software such as Zeiss CALYPSO, Hexagon PC-DMIS, QUINDOS, or equivalent platforms.
• Perform first article, in-process, receiving, and final dimensional inspections ensuring conformance to drawings and tolerances.
• Analyze inspection data and identify dimensional trends or nonconformances.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Planning to ensure product conformance and on-time delivery.
• Document inspection results and generate clear inspection reports.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement in measurement methods and process capability.
