Job summary

Actalent in Waukesha, WI is seeking a 2nd Shift Engineering Technician to support product testing activities, including equipment setup, instrumentation, teardown, and assembly in a laboratory setting. The role involves wiring work, using basic hand tools, following test procedures, collecting data, and entering results into spreadsheets.

It is a fully onsite position with shifts 1:30 PM–11:00 PM Mon–Thu and 11:00 AM–3:30 PM Fri.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools.
Comfortable with wiring and electrical components in a lab.
Ability to read and follow procedures and work instructions.
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new equipment.

Responsibilities

Setup, instrument, and teardown products undergoing testing.
Build and assemble test fixtures, prototype products, and instrumentation components.
Install, route, crimp, and connect wiring, wire harnesses, and electrical components.
Utilize basic hand tools including sockets, screwdrivers, wrenches, and hammers.
Follow test procedures and work instructions.
Support troubleshooting and assembly tasks, test data collection, and observations.
Enter information into spreadsheets and tracking systems.
Maintain organized work areas and support continuous improvement initiatives.
