Job summary

Actalent in Waukesha, WI is seeking a 2nd Shift Engineering Technician to support testing, assembly of fixtures, wiring and instrumentation in a laboratory environment.

You will read procedures, use basic hand tools, collect test data, and enter results into spreadsheets while maintaining organized work areas.

This contract role runs Monday-Thursday 1:30 PM–11:00 PM and Friday 11:00 AM–3:30 PM, with benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools.
• Comfortable working around electrical wiring and wire harnesses.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and work instructions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reliable, trainable, and willing to learn new equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Setup, instrument, and teardown products undergoing testing.
• Build and assemble test fixtures, prototype products, and instrumentation components.
• Install, route, crimp, and connect wiring, wire harnesses, and electrical components.
• Utilize basic hand tools including sockets, screwdrivers, wrenches, and hammers.
• Follow test procedures and work instructions.
• Support troubleshooting and assembly tasks, test data collection, and observations.
• Enter information into spreadsheets and tracking systems.
• Maintain organized work areas and support continuous improvement initiatives.
