Job summary

GEA Group, located in York, PA, is searching for an Assembler II to join our growing 2nd shift Production Team. Our 2nd shift schedule is Monday - Thursday from 4:15pm - 2:15am.

As an Assembler, you will perform electrical and mechanical assembly of units which includes limited troubleshooting, testing, and preparing units for shipment in a Lean Six Sigma environment. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of related assembly experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• May be required to work extended hours which may include weekends and holidays.
• Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and/or machinery

Responsibilities

• Assemble standard vessels and heat exchangers per specifications and budgets.
• Install tubes in heat exchangers and perform tube reduction/rolling.
• Prepare water boxes and attach to heat exchangers; perform ASME testing per drawings.
• Assemble standard compressor packages and control panels; test per specs.
• Program CNC Plasma Cutting and Quickmill Machining Center operations.
• Prepare units for shipment in a Lean Six Sigma environment.
