GEA Group, located in York, PA, is searching for an Assembler II to join our growing 2nd shift Production Team. Assembler, you will perform electrical and mechanical assembly of units, with limited troubleshooting, testing, and preparation for shipment in a Lean Six Sigma environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
• Certified Vocational Degrees Preferred
• 2+ years of related assembly experience
• Basic math skills
• Comprehension of safety rules
• Sit, stand, reach, walk for periods of time on concrete surface.
• Ability to lift / carry 50 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• May be required to work extended hours which may include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and/or machinery

Responsibilities

• Assemble standard vessels and heat exchangers per specs.
• Install tubes and perform tube rolling.
• ASME testing per drawings.
• Assemble compressor packages.
• Prepare and paint products.
• Wire harness installation and control panel assembly.
• Perform CNC programming and material loading.
• Maintain lean manufacturing practices
