Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for the 2nd shift in West Des Moines, IA. The role focuses on disassembly, cleaning, and basic deburring tasks with supervision. Pay ranges from $19 to $21 per hour, and extended hours may be required to meet business needs.

The position is entry level, with opportunities to learn blueprint reading, basic shop math, and inspection tools, progressing toward certification. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read prints.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to access prints.
• Basic shop math including knowledge of Geometric Tolerances.
• Ability to learn and understand deburring operations.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to maintain and operate deburring tools.
• Learn how to read blueprints to verify work.
• Accurately complete production documentation and labor transactions.
• Follow all EHS, Quality, and CI guidelines as directed by leadership.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and safety activities.
• Work under immediate supervision with detailed instructions.
• Develop basic job skills and learn company policies.
• Operate hand tools, measuring equipment and light equipment.
• Occasional extended shifts/overtime may be required.
