Job summary

Faxon Machining in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for the 2nd shift to build and fit aerospace-grade assemblies. You will process molds, work with fasteners, align sub-assemblies, and verify tolerances using basic hand tools in a small team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years of mechanical assembly experience, preferably in aerospace, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of mechanical assembly experience, preferably working with Aerospace products.
• Ability to work with little to no instruction and supervision.
• Previous machine shop work practices background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mold Processing Support: Completing the resin fill, oven processing, demolding, mold cleaning, and material movement required to return molds to the loading station
• Work with fasteners such as bolts, screws, rivets, nuts, helicoils, inserts, and adhesives
• Align and fit sub and structural assemblies by installing and connecting parts, fittings, and assemblies
• Cut, trim, file, bend, and smooth parts, and verify sizes and fitting tolerances in order to ensure proper fit and clearance
• Use basic hand tools, i.e., screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, ratchets & sockets, ruler, calipers
• Works within small team/group
