Job summary

Data-Mail, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanic for the 2nd shift (3:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.) in Newington, CT.

This role focuses on machine setups, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance across production equipment, with home assignments in Bindery or Insert departments. In-person on-site work is required at our Newington facility. The ideal candidate has trade school training and 1-2 years of machine repair experience, strong tool use, and the ability to read schematics and manuals.

Qualifications

• Trade school plus 1-2 years experience in machine repair or equivalent.
• Able to reliably perform basic machine repairs and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and perform simple/short setups per job requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Read job recaps, verify accuracy, and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Move between departments and assist as directed by supervision.
• Utilize MicroMain system for repairs and parts tracking.
