Job summary

Swisher is seeking a Material Handling Supervisor in Jacksonville, FL to lead a 2nd shift team from 3:00-11:30pm, Mon-Fri. You will oversee receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of materials, while driving inventory accuracy and timely production support.

The role requires 3–5 years in warehousing with leadership experience, strong knowledge of WMS/ERP systems, and a focus on safety and process improvement. Join a legacy innovator in consumer products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years warehouse/material handling experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience with material handling equipment and WMS.
• Knowledge of inventory management and lean manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, storing, picking and shipping of materials and finished products.
• Supervise, train and evaluate material handlers and warehouse staff.
• Monitor inventory levels; coordinate with production planning to prevent shortages.
• Ensure cycle counting and inventory reconciliation accuracy.
• Coordinate with production supervisors to prioritize material movement.
• Generate/analyze reports on inventory, productivity, KPIs.
• Collaborate with production, quality, purchasing and shipping.
• Communicate shortages or quality issues to stakeholders.
• Schedule work assignments; monitor productivity to meet goals.
• Use WMS and ERP systems for transactions.
• Ensure proper use of forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors.
• Oversee hazardous materials handling where applicable.
• Enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
