Job summary

Summit Polymers is seeking a Coordinator, Materials (Customer Service) for the 2nd shift. The role focuses on materials planning, maintaining customer relationships, and coordinating production plans to meet daily releases and forecasted demand.

The position requires a business or related degree (or equivalent lean manufacturing experience) and the ability to analyze information to support decision-making. Strong attention to detail and reliable shipping documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Business or related degree required; or equivalent experience in Materials/Planning/Logistics in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Materials, Planning and Logistics in a lean manufacturing environment is considered relevant.
• Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited set of options.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor all customer communication related to Materials, Planning and Logistics procedures.
• Ensure daily completion of customer-related shipping communications (ASNs, container info, etc.).
• Follow customer-dictated order fulfillment procedures.
• Develop daily shipping plans from customer release/forecast information.
• Create customer shipping documentation as required.
• Establish daily production plans according to manufacturing protocols.
• Perform inventory analysis and suggest adjustments.
• Maintain contact with customers and ensure timely processing of orders, shipments and changes.
• Escalate and help resolve customer issues with the appropriate teams.
• Communicate changes to customer releases to relevant departments.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to meet daily release requirements.
• Coordinate new programs/releases to meet requirements.
• Maintain target inventory levels aligned with corporate goals.
• Analyze production patterns to meet customer and plant expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
