Job summary

Summit Polymers in Kentucky is seeking a Coordinator, Materials (Customer Service) on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on materials planning in a manufacturing setting, handling customer requirements, forecasts, and shipping documentation.

You will build daily production plans, maintain inventory targets, coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering, and ensure timely order processing and shipments, while analyzing data to improve service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or related degree is required.
• Experience in materials planning is preferred.
• Ability to gather and analyze information.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor customer communications related to materials, planning and logistics.
• Create and maintain daily shipping plans based on customer release and forecast.
• Develop production plans in line with manufacturing protocols.
• Maintain target inventory levels.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to meet daily release requirements.
• Prepare and maintain required shipping documentation.
• Analyze inventory and recommend adjustments.
• Respond to customer issues and coordinate with relevant departments.
