Job summary

Magna International, Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Production Lead to supervise non-exempt staff within the Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting group. You will guide process techs, ensure safety, and drive production quality and on-time delivery.

This role also supports continuous improvement initiatives and TPM/5S practices. This position requires strong communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as departmental operations Production Lead or equivalent.
• Strong communication with internal/external contacts at all levels.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and develop others and manage staff toward goals.
• Completion of basic quantitative and verbal tests.
• Leadership to manage multiple issues simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead production activities for department teams and priorities.
• Guide, mentor, and lead process techs.
• Ensure products meet cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with safety policies.
• Monitor schedules and adjust changeover priorities.
• Control labor and workload to support staffing needs.
• Track performance, attendance and daily activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement and TPM activities.
• Conduct end-of-shift reports and handoffs.
• Lead problem-solving teams and drive daily operator performance.
