HRU-Tech in Livonia, MI is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Coordinator who will pick automotive parts and prepare them for the shop floor, while also recording material moves in our ERP system. The right candidate must be reliable, detail-oriented and possess strong automotive/material control experience.
Experience with driving a Hi-Lo is required but accounts for only about 25% of duties; the majority involves picking, processing materials in the ERP and supporting warehouse operations with
2nd Shift Material Coordinator
Material Control Technician II will be responsible for picking automotive parts, and getting them ready to move to the shop floor. In addition to physically moving material, this position requires processing the material moves in an ERP system. The right candidate must be reliable, have attention to detail, and have strong automotive and material control background including using a computer to process material in an ERP (inventory management) system. This position also requires providing support to move freight in and out of trucks and around the warehouse.
*****Note: This position is not just a Hilo driver position. Experience with driving a Hilo is a requirement, but is only about 25% of the job duties. Picking, pulling and systematically processing materials accounts for the remainder.*****
Candidates will need to interview during day shift.
Hired contractors will be expected to train on day shift for two weeks before moving to 2nd shift.(6am – 2:30pm)
2nd shift hours will be 3:30pm – 12:00am (OT as needed)
Special accommodations may be possible for some more experienced candidates if they are not able to train on 1st shift.
