Job summary

Owens Corning is hiring for a Material Prep role in Fort Mill, SC. The position is on-site, 2nd shift, Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm.

Pay is $19 per hour plus shift differential, with responsibilities that include reading schedules, pulling materials, inspecting skins, and restocking according to SKU and chart specifications. The candidate will perform quality inspections, measure skins with a tape measure to 32nds of an inch, and coordinate material flow on skin lines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all skin species and quality specs.
• Advanced knowledge of SKUs and material cut requirements.
• Ability to read tickets and schedules and use a tape measure accurately.

Responsibilities

• Read schedules, pull materials, and place skins in correct locations.
• Count and stack skins per schedule, inspect for defects, and restock correctly.
• Record details on each stack and verify measurements.
• Set up skins for cutting according to chart specifications and ensure correct SKU handling.
• Perform quality inspections before and after cuts and operate with attention to safety.
