Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Houston, TX is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd Shift in the Shipping Department to move, load, and unload glass and metal products throughout the laminating process. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and is ideal for a reliable team player building a career with an industry leader.

Responsibilities include moving materials, operating a forklift and overhead crane area, reading work orders, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Prior experience in production/manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and measurements.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Move glass and metal products safely through the laminating process.
• Operate equipment including forklift and overhead crane area.
• Transport and rotate materials per job orders and safety standards.
• Read and follow work orders for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Inspect product quality and ensure materials meet specifications.
• Record measurements with basic math and apply labels as required.
• Maintain a clean work area and report issues to supervisor.
