Job summary

Nordic Cold Chain is seeking a Material Handler to move, store, and ship finished goods in a fast-paced cold chain facility. You will operate a stand-up forklift and verify shipments with the BOL and SKU data using a WMS scanner.

You must have 2–4+ years forklift experience, strong inventory accuracy, and be able to work in cold/freezer environments. This is not entry-level, and reliable, minimal supervision is expected daily. Hours are 3:15pm–1:45am, Mon–Thu, at $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years forklift experience (stand-up preferred).
• Proven experience in shipping/receiving and warehouse operations.
• Ability to use scanners or WMS systems independently.
• Demonstrated inventory accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in cold/freezer environments.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate movement, storage, and shipment of finished goods and materials within a fast-paced cold chain manufacturing environment. This role requires proven forklift operation (stand-up preferred), strong inventory accuracy, and experience with shipping/receiving processes and systems. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must be capable of performing core responsibilities with minimal supervision from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up forklift (Raymond or similar) safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trailers with accurate product verification (SKU, quantity, condition)
• Execute shipping and receiving processes, including Bill of Lading (BOL) documentation
• Perform system transactions using scanners/WMS with high accuracy
• Stage, move, and store materials to support production flow
• Conduct inventory counts and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety standards in all work areas

Required Qualifications (Level 2-3 Entry)
