2nd Shift Material Handler

Job Summary:
A Material Handler handles, moves, and stores materials within the warehouse. The Material Handler’s main duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory status, and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday (5:00 pm - 3:30 am)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
- Safely operate both stand-up reach trucks and sit-down forklifts to transport, load, and unload products.
- Inspect forklifts daily before operation and report any issues or malfunctions
- Utilize RF scanners to properly transact and move material to and from storage.
- Use computers to track and manage inventory, ensuring accuracy in order processing and shipments.
- Assist with stock checks or audits
- Operate other powered industrial /warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Operate and handle computer data entry through Oracle, Discoverer, and Microsoft applications
- Load, unload, and stack materials and products according to company procedures
- Transport goods from receiving areas to storage or shipping areas as required
- Always follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as needed
- Ensure the use of Personal Protective Equipment as required
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification/license (as required by OSHA/local regulations)
- Prior experience operating a stand-up reach truck is necessary; experience with stock picker and other powered industrial trucks is preferred.
- Prior experience working with RF scanners and computers.
- Familiarity with inventory software and order management systems
- Ability to operate Microsoft Office suite and other relevant computer software applications
- Regular attendance and ability to work overtime when needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Must comply with legal and corporate responsibilities

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged standing and some walking.
- Must be able to lift up to a minimum of 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to visually inspect and interpret designs on screen and in print.
- Use of functional Core Tools
Working Conditions/Environment:
- Standard office environment with occasional visits to automotive test facilities or manufacturing sites.
- Occasional travel may be required to support design or supplier reviews.
- Remote work options may be available depending on project requirements and company policy.
- When in the warehouse, this position requires working with dirt/dust and noise. A variety of proper PPE is required to provide a safe working environment.
- Requires working and interacting with others in person and through phone, electronic, and written correspondence, as well as listening effectively, communicating, maintaining attention to detail, and performing focused work.
- This work is deadline-oriented, requires multitasking, fluctuating work schedules, and flexibility within the workday.
- Frequent use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
- Requires the ability for close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
