Job summary

California Faucets is hiring a 2nd Shift Material Handler for our Huntington Beach, CA facility. This on-site role runs Monday through Friday from 2:15 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

You will ensure production is stocked and moving by handling materials, pallets, and related equipment to keep operations flowing. Responsibilities

• Receiving Purchase Orders (POs) into the ERP system from outside vendors.
• Scanning tickets into the ERP system and producing labels.
• Physically unwrap cartons, inspect parts, and reconcile POs for count and quality.
• Bagging, inspecting, and labeling finished parts.
• Perform replenishment requests by processing receipts and stocking parts.
• Picking parts from inventory locations and performing cycle counting.
• Maintaining inventory accuracy through physical and system audits.
• Loading/unloading delivery trucks to ensure PO accuracy.
• Identify missing or damaged product from orders.
• Transport materials using equipment like stands, forklifts, and company vehicles.
• Inter-store replenishment between warehouses.
• Participate in problem solving, process improvement, and help team finish daily tasks.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse locations and labeling.

California Faucets is looking to bring on a 2nd Shift Material Handler. This role is based on-site in our Huntington Beach, CA facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 2:15 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Job Description/Essential Duties:

The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that the production departments are fully stocked and have the products/materials that they need to fulfill orders and move product quickly. They maintain the flow of merchandise between warehouse and production locations using equipment such as lifts, motor vehicles and pallet jacks. They are responsible for stocking raw goods inventory into warehouse locations and maintaining and assisting with the organization of picking aisles. They also perform quality control measures to ensure that quality‑checked merchandise is available to the production departments as needed.

In addition to these duties, the Material Handler will also have the following responsibilities:

• Receiving Purchase Orders (PO's) into the ERP system from outside vendors.


• Scanning tickets into the ERP system and producing labels.


• Physically unwrapping cartons, visually inspecting parts, and reconciling PO's for count and quality.


• Bagging, inspecting, and labeling finished parts.


• Performing regular replenishment requests by processing receipts and putting parts away into stock locations.


• Picking parts from inventory locations and performing cycle counting.


• Maintaining inventory accuracy through physical and system inventory audits.


• Loading and unloading delivery trucks to ensure that each incoming delivery matches the PO.


• Identifying when product is missing or damaged from an order.


• Carrying and transporting materials utilizing material handling equipment, such as with handcarts, a Standup Forklift, and with company vehicles.


• Driving replenishment product/materials between multiple warehouses.


• Actively participating in problem solving, process improvement, and helping all team members finish daily tasks.


• Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse locations, accurate labeling, verifications, and troubleshooting discrepancies.


• Performing additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Requirements

Environmental and Safety Considerations:

• Possible exposure to heat, cold, dust, and moderate noise when working indoors.


• May be required to work with adhesives, power tools, forced air.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

People Interface:

The position requires contact primarily within the department on routine matters. Contact outside the Production Department is minimal.

Decision Making:

The position requires working from detailed instructions as well as the use of judgment to plan and perform general decisions to solve a problem or select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation.

Supervision Received:

This position will be under the direct supervision of the Receiving Lead and general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor.

Accountabilities:

After adequate training, the position requires a level of accountability to complete a pre-determined amount of work or units completed per shift.

Education and Experience:

The minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate. Someone entering this position should have at least six (6) months experience performing similar work in a related field.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and use hands to finger. The employee is frequently required to stand extended periods of time; reach with hands and arms below and above shoulder; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist or crawl. The employee will be required to lift/carry 1-50 pounds routinely.
