Job summary

Hudsonville Ice Cream is seeking a self-motivated material handler for the 2nd shift to unload deliveries, maintain warehouse stock, and move materials to fulfill orders. The ideal candidate is a diligent worker who can complete tasks with little to no guidance while upholding safety standards and efficiency.

Responsibilities include labeling, locating, and recording inventory, processing shipments, and supporting daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Hi-Lo and forklift-like equipment, with emphasis on safety.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to schedule tasks efficiently.
• Ability to analyze information and adapt to changing priorities.
• Comfort handling complex workflows and meeting deadlines.
• Proven time management and planful execution of duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock.
• Locates materials by pulling from production orders or pick tasks.
• Maintains in-process inventory by handling materials accurately.
• Documents materials by recording units delivered.
• Receives returned materials to count, verify, and return to stock.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, picking, and loading.
• Documents shipment by scanning pallets loaded on trailers.
• Maintains material-handling equipment via pre-ops inspections and escalates issues.
• Daily demonstration of company core values through material handling.
• Contributes to team through positive demeanor and cooperation.

Dry Goods Material Handler 2nd Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated, efficient, and meticulous material handler to join our growing team. As a material handler with our organization, you will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, maintaining stock in the warehouse, and moving stock and other materials to fulfill orders. The ideal candidate for the material handler position is a diligent worker who can complete tasks successfully with little to no guidance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production order or pick tasks.
• Maintains in-process inventory by handling materials accurately.
• Document materials and supplies by recording units delivered systematically.
• Receives “returned” materials to count, verify, and return to stock.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, picking, and loading materials securely in-location or on a trailer.
• Document product shipment by verifying and scanning all pallets loaded on the trailer.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-operations inspections and escalating necessary damage or repairs to leadership.
• Daily demonstration of company core values through material handling operations.
• Positive demeanor and dedication to team contribution and cooperation.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand at least 9 hours, walk, bend, and use both hands for repetitive grasping, and lifting up-to 70lbs. Able to support daily overtime and facility downtime occurrences. Average of 45 – 55 hours per week.
