Hudsonville Ice Cream is seeking a dependable Dry Goods Material Handler for the 2nd shift to unload deliveries, stock the warehouse, and move materials to fulfill orders.

The role requires meticulous attention, safety awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while collaborating with a team to maintain accurate inventory, perform daily cycles, and ensure timely shipments.

Responsibilities

• Receives returned materials to count, verify, and return to stock.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, picking, and loading materials.
• Documents shipment by verifying and scanning pallets on the trailer.
• Maintains equipment with pre-operations inspections and reports issues.

Dry Goods Material Handler 2nd Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated, efficient, and meticulous material handler to join our growing team. As a material handler with our organization, you will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, maintaining stock in the warehouse, and moving stock and other materials to fulfill orders. The ideal candidate for the material handler position is a diligent worker who can complete tasks successfully with little to no guidance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production order or pick tasks.
• Maintains in-process inventory by handling materials accurately.
• Document materials and supplies by recording units delivered systematically.
• Receives "returned" materials to count, verify, and return to stock.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, picking, and loading materials securely in-location or on a trailer.
• Document product shipment by verifying and scanning all pallets loaded on the trailer.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-operations inspections and escalating necessary damage or repairs to leadership.
• Daily demonstration of company core values through material handling operations.
• Positive demeanor and dedication to team contribution and cooperation.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand at least 9 hours, walk, bend, and use both hands for repetitive grasping, and lifting up-to 70lbs. Able to support daily overtime and facility downtime occurrences. Average of 45-55 hours per week.
