Job summary

Composition Brands is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our Greenville, Michigan team. This full-time role supports the efficient flow of materials, including receiving, storing, transporting, and distributing items to meet production schedules.

You will manage stock levels, move materials safely with forklifts, and uphold safety protocols while contributing to uninterrupted production of our refrigeration brands.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing support.
• Proficiency using inventory management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in material movement and recordkeeping.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely and effectively (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Pass a pre employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently unload finished product from assembly lines and transport to the warehouse for storage.
• Safely and efficiently load and unload shipments from transport vendors.
• Efficiently distribute parts to workstations using forklifts, pallet jacks or hand carts.
• Retrieve parts orders for assembly and sub-assembly areas.
• Proactively work with area supervisors and keep shelves full.
• Use computer terminal to locate material and enter or retrieve data.
• Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms.
• Read production schedules to determine materials required and priorities.

Composition Brands is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our team in Greenville, Michigan. This role is responsible for supporting the efficient flow of materials throughout our manufacturing operations by receiving, storing, transporting, and distributing materials needed to meet production schedules.

Expected Hours Of Work

This position is full-time. The general scheduled workdays are Monday through Thursday 2:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.

Position Overview

The 2nd shift Material Handler plays a vital role in supporting operational efficiency and inventory accuracy within the organization. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products throughout the facility. You will handle a variety of tasks, from receiving and staging shipments to replenishing production lines and managing stock levels, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently unload finished product from assembly lines and transport to the warehouse for storage.
• Safely and efficiently load and unload shipments from transport vendors.
• Efficiently distribute parts to workstations using forklifts, pallet jacks or hand carts.
• Responsible for retrieving parts orders for assembly and sub-assembly areas.
• Must proactively work with area supervisors and keep assembly/sub-assembly stocking shelves full.
• Utilize computer terminal to locate material and supplies in warehouse. Use computer to enter, access or retrieve data.
• Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms.
• Read production schedules and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing support role
• Proficiency using inventory management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
• Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in material movement and recordkeepingExcellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely and effectively (up to 50 lbs)
• Comfortable operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred)
