Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks in Lincoln, NE is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee production teams and uphold safety and quality standards. The role reports to the Operations Manager and may involve 2nd shift hours (3:00 p.m.

– 12:00 a.m.) with 50-60+ hours per week, including Saturdays. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of supervisory experience in metal fabrication or welding, strong communication, and the ability to manage unions.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree preferred or 5 years of applicable work experience managing a metal fabrication or pressure vessel site.
• Five+ years of supervisory experience in industrial manufacturing / fabrication / welding environment for engineered equipment preferred.
• Ability to review and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Excellent employee relations management skills, with strong "on-floor" presence.
• Experience working in a Union environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production employees and direct hourly teams of 4-8 with 20-30 total staff.
• Ensure safety policies and OSHA guidelines are followed and drive zero-accident initiatives.
• Meet or exceed direct labor hours, on-time delivery, and cost targets (MRO spend, savings).
• Plan workload, assign jobs, and train employees to ensure quality products.
• Communicate clear expectations and provide performance feedback to the team.
