Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Maintenance Technician on second shift (3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.).

The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of plant equipment and electrical/mechanical systems to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include installing and repairing lighting and mechanical systems, maintaining parts records, following safety rules, and supporting internal/external projects.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in industrial electronics with maintenance and/or industrial electricity preferred.
• Knowledge of basic electricity; strong verbal and interpersonal skills; basic welding; ability to use a variety of hand and power tools; and ability to read a blueprint.
• High school education or GED; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• Good reading, writing and math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Install new or repair/replace plant lighting, air compressors and other mechanical maintenance work.
• Process purchase requisitions and paperwork for replacement parts.
• Maintain inventory records of spare parts and report needs for replacement.
• Diagnose and repair basic building, structure or grounds problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot electrical repairs on welding equipment.
