Job summary

Andersen Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor I (ETD3/4, 2nd Shift) in Cottage Grove, MN. You will lead a team in a value stream, driving safety, quality and productivity improvements while coaching and developing staff.

The role requires 3–5 years of leadership in manufacturing, plus experience with continuous improvement and lean practices. A degree is preferred; Lean certification is a plus. Competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package accompany this position.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing/warehouse operation.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate people.
• Demonstrated experience implementing continuous improvements.
• Previous experience in manufacturing with understanding of manufacturing principles a plus.
• Continuing education in management, leadership or manufacturing fields; degree preferred.
• Lean certification is valued.

Responsibilities

• Coach, train, and develop a team in accordance with Andersen values and policy; maintain a respectful work environment.
• Review production schedules to identify and resolve problems.
• Ensure product quality using standard work and training; inspect and improve processes.
• Support and implement lean principles; improve work center organization and housekeeping.
• Provide change leadership to improve overall operation performance.
• Encourage continuous improvement and help associates understand policies and practices.
• Communicate with associates and supervisors regarding performance, safety, schedules and practices.
