Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Hampton, IA, is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift to oversee formulation and packaging operations. You will drive safety, quality, on-time delivery, yield and cost objectives while coordinating with the plant and cross-functional teams.

You will develop employees, coach performance, manage staffing, and lead continuous-improvement efforts to optimize production flow and ensure accurate batch records and shift reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates in Land O'Lakes TAP/MMT/DMT programs will be considered.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing safety, quality, regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work second shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, compliant second-shift operations and enforce environmental, health, safety, quality, SOP, and work-rule requirements.
• Direct formulation and packaging activities to meet production schedules and safety, quality, delivery, cost, throughput, and inventory-yield objectives.
• Supervise, coach, and develop employees; manage performance, staffing, and cross-training.
• Coordinate people, materials, and equipment across Formulation and Packaging to maintain efficient production flow and effective shift handoffs.
• Troubleshoot operational and technical issues with plant management and cross-functional partners, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Lead and support continuous-improvement, cost-reduction, product-introduction, process-change, and equipment-startup activities.
• Ensure production records, batch sheets, run sheets, shift reports, and related documentation are complete, accurate, and timely.
• Monitor and communicate operating performance, risks, priorities, and required follow-up to employees, other shifts, and management.
• Control operating expenses, reduce losses, improve yield and throughput, and support customer requirements as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
