Shift Details: 2nd shift, 5 PM – 3 AM, Monday - Thursday, with required overtime on some Fridays.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Repair and Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining equipment used in producing mineral chelates and overall facility upkeep. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with an ability to work independently, demonstrating attention to detail, accountability, and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Maintenance: Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on production equipment such as high-capacity mixers, grinders, double cone blenders, and other facility equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to ensure efficient and safe operation.
2. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule, keeping detailed records of activities and equipment performance.
3. Facilities Maintenance: Conduct inspections and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
4. Process Improvement: Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement process improvements. Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and technologies.
5. Inventory Management: Maintain spare parts inventory, order, and restock as needed to reduce downtime.
6. Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols, participate in safety training, and promote a safety culture.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Keep maintenance logs, manuals, and service records. Provide regular updates on maintenance activities and equipment status to managers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Ability to interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
• Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Work comfortably in varying temperatures and conditions.
