Job summary

Sheridan Group in Stevens Point, WI seeks a Manufacturing Associate to support press operations on 2nd shift (3pm-11pm). Training is provided; pay is $19.75–$21.25 per hour plus shift differential.

Role involves assisting operators, setting up folders, and ensuring quality and safety in a manufacturing environment. Opportunities for progression exist through the three or two-step career paths on different presses, with emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical and math skills required.
• Ability to learn and understand bundling, roll tending, assisting crew during make-readies, and actively participate in production-related activities and follow the direction of the press operators and supervisors.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Type II Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of folder, stacker, and sheeter.
• Bundle folded book signatures and stack on pallet using hoist.
• Ensure pallets and materials are stocked; report shortages.
• Perform minor machine adjustments and assist in web up of press.
• Assist in make-readies, wipe down blankets, change ink, and cleanup around press.
• Maintain press equipment with lubrication as scheduled.
• Maintain general housekeeping in department.
• Promote Sheridan's continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Train to perform next level position to cover absences and prepare for progression.
• Identify and implement improvements in work processes.
• Be a positive role model and comply with safety policies.
