Job summary

Vertical Converting, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing process and coordinate resources to meet production schedules. The role includes motivating and guiding production staff, reporting to the Plant Manager, and ensuring safety and efficiency.

The position runs Monday–Thursday, 4:15 pm–2:45 am, with full-time benefits and opportunities to implement Lean and 5S improvements across the plant. Located in Frostburg, MD.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing supervision/management experience. 3-5 years.
• Experience in Lean production principles and metrics.
• Experience with implementing and sustaining 5S principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all production and logistics activities in the plant.
• Develop and coach supervisors to successfully lead their teams.
• Monitor performance and develop and implement recommendations and action plans for improvements in efficiencies, quality, and safety.
• Lead daily production meetings to ensure optimum material, resources, staffing and workflow.
• Lead, direct and manage all safety initiatives in the plant, ensuring company and all regulatory policies are strictly maintained.
• Lead with consistency and accountability, setting expectations and providing follow-up.
• Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.

Description

Vertical Converting, Inc. is looking for a 2 nd Shift Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing process and coordinate activities to ensure enough resources are on hand and products are produced on time. The manager is also responsible for motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to production staff. This is a full-time, Monday – Thursday position reporting to the Plant Manager. The hours are 4:15 pm – 2:45 am.

Job Responsibilities
