Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group is seeking a Production Operator - Sweeteners for our Indianapolis, IN plant. This on-site role supports two shifts with 2pm–10:30pm Mon-Fri and 10pm–6:30am Sun-Thurs, contributing to safe and efficient production of sweeteners at our facility.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong English comprehension, good teamwork, and reliable attendance. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. This position emphasizes food safety, quality, and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to understand oral and written English.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety and adheres to all safety guidelines.
• Inspects products for defects and measures accuracy of machine operation.
• Adjusts machines to maintain within tolerances and reports issues.
• Reads job orders to determine product specifications and plan sequences.
• Loads and secures stock materials for production, manually or with assistive equipment.
• Follows SOPs to start up and shut down equipment; maintains records with accuracy.
• Adheres to SQF GMPs and HACCP guidelines for food safety.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
