Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a skilled Machine Repair Technician for our Miamisburg, OH facility on the 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM). You will maintain and repair a wide range of machinery and equipment to support production and quality standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment installation to ensure peak performance while adhering to safety and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in mechanical repair environment with applicable education or apprenticeship.
• Working knowledge of shop mathematics.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Proficiency with mills, drills, lathes, grinders and surface grinders.
• Strong interpersonal, math and mechanical/technical skills.
• Ability to work independently and safely.
• Comfortable working at heights (12–15 ft).
• Overtime availability (mandatory and voluntary).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical equipment malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and identify failures using drawings, diagrams and manuals.
• Ensure correct positioning of production machines.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Inspect and maintain shop equipment per OSHA regulations.
• Install parts and prepare new machines for operation.
• Repair and maintain machinery including pneumatic tools, motors and conveyors.
• Disassemble machines, replace parts and adjust components.
• Clean, lubricate and inspect all completed repairs.
