Job summary

Greif, located in Illinois, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd Shift to keep injection molding machinery and ancillary equipment running through preventive maintenance and skilled repairs.

Requires a high school diploma or technical training with 3-5 years of experience; strong mechanical, electrical, PLC troubleshooting, and reading schematics; safety-minded and team-focused; 1:30 PM–10:00 PM, Monday–Friday with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintains machinery by performing preventive maintenance on injection molding equipment and auxiliaries.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Reads diagrams, manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance tasks.
• Disassembles and reassembles equipment and replaces worn parts as needed.
• Adheres to plant safety policies and participates in Lean programs.
• Assists and guides junior maintenance colleagues.
