Job summary

PFERD Inc. in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician I to support machine operation and perform setup and minor repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, and specialty equipment.

You will follow samples and documents to meet product specifications and help maintain high uptime. Responsibilities include setup, troubleshooting, part replacement, tooling changes, and coordinating with production and engineering to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with adjustable measuring devices, gauges, and fixtures.
• Experience in troubleshooting PLC programs is a plus.
• Ability to identify and solve problems and multi-task under deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and have a positive attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, troubleshoot, perform minor repairs and maintain all equipment and machinery in the facility.
• Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other issues.
• Remove and replace worn parts and machine tooling.
• Realign and adjust components and test operation after repair.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available.
• Maintain tools and spare parts inventory and keep a clean workplace.
• Collaborate with production personnel, supervisors, and engineers to maximize machine uptime.
