Job summary

DeForest Area seeks a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, and facility systems in a manufacturing setting in Wisconsin. The role involves following blueprints and manuals, performing preventive maintenance, and fabricating parts as needed.

You will repair broken components, document actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining safety standards. Flexible hours may be available to accommodate production needs.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and service manuals.
• Commitment to safety procedures and use of PPE at all times.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery, equipment, and facility systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics).
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on processing and facility equipment.
• Determine changes in dimensional requirements and fabricate parts as needed.
• Follow blueprints, specifications, diagrams and service manuals for repairs.
• Repair broken parts using brazing, soldering, and welding tools.
• Prepare maintenance reports and communicate actions and needs using EAM.
• Work safely and adhere to STW documentation and training requirements.
• Actively participate in CI, 5S, and STW improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
