Job summary

Precision Strip in Vonore, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure operation of machinery at our metal processing plant, performing planned and unplanned maintenance to minimize downtime.

You will read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings, troubleshoot hydraulics and electrical systems, and perform fabrication work. A technical school accreditation is preferred and the role requires a 5pm–5am Monday–Friday shift with on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings.
• Troubleshoot hydraulics, pumps, motors, valves, cylinders and electrical systems (PLC, DC, etc.).
• Fabrication experience including welding, plasma, and torch.
• Maintenance experience in manufacturing; technical school accreditation preferred.
• Willing to work 5pm–5am Monday–Friday with on-call emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to schedule preventative maintenance and maintain records.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot root causes of unplanned maintenance and implement fixes.
• Assist installation and assembly of new equipment and improvements.
