Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair industrial equipment, perform welding and cutting, read blueprints, and ensure safe, efficient operations on the second shift. The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of industrial maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and skills in welding, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and PLC programming.

Training may be available; safety and reliability matter for this role.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
3–4 years industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Welding, brazing, and torch-cutting experience; training may be available.
Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment (mechanical presses, hydraulic systems, forging hammers, cranes).
Ability to perform preventive and predictive maintenance and inspections.
Ability to read machine-detail blueprints and follow instructions.
Ability to read safety policies and complete routine reports.
Strong communication skills and ability to train or instruct others.
Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance tasks on assigned projects as directed by supervisor.
Repair existing equipment and install new parts or equipment.
Weld, braze, and torch-cut components as required.
Assist in furnace and induction coil repairs and related components.
Operate power hand tools and shop equipment (lathe, mill, drill, saw, grinders).
Perform pipe fitting for conduit safety and routing.
Maintain housekeeping and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
Work in a safe manner and meet deadlines.
