Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by performing general maintenance and facility upkeep to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and infrastructure.

This role involves repairing equipment, assisting with machine moves, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and support production needs in a busy plant environment. Strong safety awareness and familiarity with LOTO and 5S are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous maintenance or industrial experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Maintain operating condition of plant equipment through routine inspections and basic repairs.
• Assist with machine moves, installations, and rebuilds.
• Support basic troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues.
• Operate facility equipment including floor scrubbers, sweepers, and other powered tools.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
