Job summary

Schwan's Company is seeking a maintenance technician for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) in a food manufacturing environment. Starting pay is $24.50 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging equipment to keep production running smoothly. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (two-year degree preferred), 0–2 years of related experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
• 0–2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete work orders and enter required paperwork into a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to keep production running smoothly.
• Follow food safety rules and use appropriate cleaning procedures and food-grade materials.
• Handle emergency repairs during production to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory to ensure availability for maintenance.
• Work safely and follow OSHA regulations and company rules.
