Job summary

Hexcel in Burlington, WA is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician. The role starts with training on a day or modified schedule, then moves to the 2nd shift to support plant operations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 5+ years in fabrication, welding, electrical or mechanical trades, with strong machining, welding, and fabrication aptitude. Overtime and safety focus required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical college degree a plus.
• Minimum five years of related experience in fabrication, welding, controls, electrical or mechanical trades.
• Strong mechanical, machining and fabrication aptitude.
• Experience with industrial equipment repair and calibration is preferred.
• Ability to read safety, operating and maintenance manuals.
• Familiarity with PLCs and electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
• Team player willing to work overtime and on-call when needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility integrity following specifications and standards.
• Safely analyzes problems and resolves equipment issues to improve plant efficiency.
• Disassembles and repairs components, tools, and equipment.
• Fabricates improvements to team areas and production equipment.
• Responds promptly to internal customer service needs.
• Overtime, on-call, and call-back as needed to support operations.
• Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical components up to 480 volts.
• Works in a team to reach decisions within guidelines.
• Uses safety tools (JSAs, lock-out/tag-out, PPE) for safe assignments.
• Supports plant safety, quality objectives and lean activities.
