Job summary

HPS Micron Group LLC in Sterling, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure overall plant equipment, lines, and tools are properly maintained, repaired or replaced to maximize efficiency and ship-on-time. Responsibilities include developing preventive maintenance plans, performing scheduled maintenance, and coordinating MRO activities.

The role requires a High School Diploma with 5+ years in maintenance and electrical maintenance in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; certification or some college in maintenance preferred.
• 5+ years in maintenance roles, plus 5+ years in electrical maintenance in manufacturing.
• Experience with lock-out/tag-out and PLCs.
• Forklift and hoist training and certificates.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with office equipment and basic measuring tools.
• Soldering and general electrical maintenance abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant equipment to ensure efficiency and on-time shipping.
• Develop preventive maintenance lists and schedules for all equipment.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance per schedule and calibrations as needed.
• Submit MRO requests for parts and services; replace equipment when approved.
• Assist with installations, calibrations, and upgrades of electrical equipment.
• Draft equipment PSRs and manage monthly maintenance budget.
• Review test reports and handle field issues with cross-functional teams.
• Support training staff on new electrical equipment and processes.
