Job summary

Brook & Whittle LTD in Kansas is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12:00AM, Monday-Friday) to support production by maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems on manufacturing equipment.

The role requires a technical degree or 5+ years in industrial maintenance, PLC/instrumentation experience, CMMS proficiency, and a strong safety mindset. Collaboration with engineering and vendors is essential.

Qualifications

Associates degree in a technical discipline or 5+ years industrial maintenance experience.
Electrical preferred.
Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, and electronics.
Proficient with CMMS and basic PC literacy.
Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Familiar with OSHA and environmental regulations.
Willingness to learn and attend training.
Good communication and ability to work a flexible schedule including shift work.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on maintenance per production priorities, including repairing and troubleshooting equipment and supporting systems.
Supervise maintenance contractors when required.
Maintain a Maintenance Action Log per equipment to track repairs and baseline preventive maintenance.
Participate in startup and shutdown activities; assist with task planning and scheduling.
Work with vendors/OEM for parts pricing and repair recommendations.
Incorporate safe practices while completing maintenance tasks.
Maintain the Maintenance Department work area and ensure proper tool storage.
Comply with all company, local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Other duties as assigned or changed.
