Job summary

Nidec Minster Corporation is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician at our Minster, OH facility to maintain and repair a wide range of industrial equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control systems, read schematics, and work with Siemens, Fanuc, and Okuma controls.

A strong safety mindset and reliable attendance are essential. The role requires an Associates degree in electronics or related field and 3–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in electronics or related field is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic troubleshooting and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read schematics and work with PLCs.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains and repairs mechanical systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and power transmission systems.
  • Troubleshoots mechanical operating systems, may work with others or independently.
  • Maintains electrical and electronic systems up to 480V and related equipment.
  • Adheres to safety procedures and works with urgency to minimize downtime.

Job Summary:

Minster, A Nidec Press & Automation Co., is an industry leader in the manufacture of material forming presses in the United States, is seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Maintenance Technician at our Minster, Ohio facility. Minster develops, manufacturers, and markets quality metal forming equipment and provides machining, fabrication and assembly services to a diverse customer base.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing industrial equipment and machinery used in a multifunctional manufacturing environment. Our facility is clean and well-lit, providing a comfortable and professional workspace. Come join the Minster Team!

Job Responsibilities:
  • Installs, maintains and repairs a broad range of mechanical systems and equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and power transmission systems.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair mechanical operating systems and equipment. May work alone with minimal supervision or other maintenance technicians.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs a broad range of electrical and electronic systems up to 480 voltage and equipment.
  • Must have thorough background in industrial electricity and knowledge of schematics, AC/DC systems, PLCs.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrically driven operating systems and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in electronics or like discipline preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 3-5 Years of experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronics troubleshooting and installation techniques.
  • Capable of performing mechanical repair or mechanical knowledge of machinery found in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must work with a sense of urgency.
  • Additionally, safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/guidelines must be adhered to at all times.
  • Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of Machine Controls.
  • Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, Okuma controls.
  • Physical Requirements: bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing ladders, must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
