Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing duties under the Essential Responsibilities category, following management guidelines, and working safely and efficiently. Flexibility to work different shifts and additional hours is required. Effective communication with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor is essential.

Essential Functions

• Maintain plant efficiency through mechanical and electrical skills.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment and systems.
• Rebuild or repair pumps, gearboxes, valves, and other equipment.
• Perform maintenance on plant systems including CIP, AZO, chemical injection, air compressors, boilers, and packaging equipment.
• Conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and repair packaging, pressure, boiler, and process systems.
• Observe and evaluate equipment performance and perform preventive maintenance.
• Fabricate equipment per diagrams and specifications.
• Maintain tools and work areas in an organized, safe manner.
• Assist with internal projects and system installations.
• Perform other duties as assigned and work independently.
• Calibrate equipment including PLCs, valves, sensors, etc.

Requirements

• GED or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in relevant areas and passing a written test with ≥75% score.
• Must pass DOA within 1 year of employment.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Effective communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and teamwork orientation.
• Personal cleanliness and adherence to GMPs.
• Ability to perform mechanical rebuilds, troubleshoot electrical systems, and read diagrams.
• Welding skills for stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.

Working Conditions

• Physical activities including climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, and walking.
• Operate various equipment and instruments.
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Work in plant environments with noise, temperature variations, and chemicals.
• Wear safety equipment and work in confined spaces if needed.
