**2nd Shift Maintenance Technician**
**Job description**
**Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 2:30PM - 1:00 AM. (Friday through Sunday off every week!)**

Are you someone who enjoys solving problems and ensuring everything runs smoothly? We are looking for a talented and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our family. In this role, you will be the backbone of our production process, ensuring that our equipment and machinery are always in top-notch condition. If you have a keen eye for detail and a knack for fixing things, we'd love to hear from you!
**Preventive Maintenance:**
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on our production equipment, ensuring everything runs seamlessly.
- Repairs:**
- Dive into troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, minimizing downtime and keeping our operations humming.
- Equipment Upgrades:**
- Play a vital role in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, as well as upgrading existing machinery to keep us at the cutting edge.
- Documentation:**
- Keep meticulous records of all maintenance activities, from work orders to equipment manuals and maintenance logs.
- Safety Compliance:**
- Uphold our commitment to safety by ensuring all maintenance activities comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaboration:**
- Work hand-in-hand with production supervisors and operators to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Training:**
- Share your knowledge by training production staff on the proper operation and basic maintenance of equipment.
- Continuous Improvement:**
- Be an integral part of our continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing equipment performance and efficiency.
- Food Safety:**
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process to guarantee the production of safe, high-quality food products in compliance with regulatory & claim requirements.
- Qualifications:**
**Education:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience:**
- At least 2 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, with a preference for those with a background in the food or confectionery industry.
- Skills:**
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automated control systems.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Attributes:**
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Monday -- Thursday typical schedule with flexibility to work varying hours, including occasional Fridays
