Job summary

Tom Trese in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to keep injection molding equipment running safely and efficiently. This role supports continuous production by performing PMs and quick repairs to electrical and hydraulic systems.

You’ll work 3 PM to 11 PM in a team-based environment, read blueprints, document maintenance activities, and collaborate with production to minimize downtime. Prior injection molding experience is a plus, and training is available as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with a hands-on problem-solving approach.
• Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics (training available).
• Understanding of preventative maintenance programs.
• Prior experience in injection molding preferred.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on injection molding and related manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues quickly and effectively
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints (training available if needed)
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and machine downtime
• Work closely with production teams to minimize equipment downtime
