Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. in Nottingham, PA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain and repair machinery and electrical systems in our industrial facility. This full-time role on the 3pm-1am shift offers benefits and on-site health services.

You will diagnose problems, perform preventive maintenance, and work with gloves and safety protocols in a noisy environment; forklift license required or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English in a work setting.
• Valid driver's license and forklift license or ability to obtain one within 90 days.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills.
• Knowledge of PLC technology and Industrial Electronics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.
• Coordinate with team members to diagnose problems and repair equipment.
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
• Other duties may be assigned.
