Job summary

Furlani Foods Corporation in North Liberty, IA, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for the 2nd shift (1pm-10pm) with rotating weekends. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure production equipment and utilities run safely and reliably.

You will work with Production, QA, Sanitation, and other departments to minimize downtime, support schedules, and maintain GMP, food safety, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing or a similar regulated environment.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS.
• GMPs, sanitation, and food safety knowledge.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, and develop maintenance technicians to support daily plant operations.
• Coordinate and prioritize work orders, repairs, and maintenance based on production needs.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Ensure machinery, packaging lines, utilities, and facility systems are in good condition.
• Respond to breakdowns and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and equipment vendors as needed.
• Assist with equipment installations and capital projects.
