Aerotek is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing CNC machinery, Amada lasers, hydraulics, and related systems, with regular PM inspections and safety adherence.
The candidate will disassemble and replace components, document findings, and coordinate with operations to improve reliability. On-site work with potential overtime in a manufacturing environment.
This position involves receiving, prioritizing, coordinating, and completing maintenance, repair, and installation work orders using UpKeep CMMS. The role requires diagnosing and troubleshooting problems affecting the operation of various process equipment, CNC machinery, Amada lasers, and hydraulic systems, among others. The technician will disassemble, repair, adjust, or replace components such as bearings, linear guides, motors, gearboxes, valves, pumps, and hydraulic/electrical components. Regular PM inspections will be conducted in alignment with schedules, OEM manuals, and standard maintenance procedures.
Receive, prioritize, coordinate, and complete maintenance, repair, and installation work orders within required timeframes using UpKeep CMMS.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems affecting the operation of process equipment, CNC machinery, Amada lasers, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and other specialized equipment.
Disassemble, repair, adjust, or replace components such as bearings, linear guides, motors, gearboxes, valves, pumps, and hydraulic/electrical components.
Conduct regular PM inspections and document all findings, identifying potential failure points and communicating items that need escalation or project planning.
Perform all maintenance activities safely and in compliance with manufacturer specifications, schematics, drawings, codes, and best practices.
Analyze equipment downtime trends, production requirements, and machine conditions to recommend optimal timing for preventative and corrective maintenance.
Participate actively in TPM, preventive maintenance activities, and cross-functional problem-solving with operations to increase equipment reliability.
Assist with inclement weather preparation and remediation for the facility.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment and ensure proper care and return of tools.
Participate fully in safety programs, including reporting hazards, near misses, and improvement opportunities.
Communicate clearly with supervisors, fellow technicians, and production regarding machine issues, timelines, and potential improvements.
Work various shifts or overtime as required.
Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall goals of the maintenance department.
Electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics expertise.
Minimum of 2+ years industrial maintenance experience with process equipment, CNC machinery, or similar systems.
Ability to troubleshoot 24V control systems and diagnose 24V and 120V circuits using a multimeter.
Ability to remove and replace bearings, linear guides, electric motors, and hydraulic valves.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical and automated control systems.
Basic understanding of TPM principles and preventive maintenance.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn and use UpKeep CMMS.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, schematics, and safety procedures.
Strong human relations and communication skills.
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical schooling or higher education in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or industrial technology preferred.
PLC exposure or experience, including reading electrical schematics and basic troubleshooting.
Experience with CNC machining centers, laser cutting operations, welding, tube bending, shot blasting, industrial paint systems, powder coat systems, material handling, and automated systems.
Experience with electrical troubleshooting of 120V, 277V, and 480V systems.

This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
