Job summary

Venteon is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor in Normal, IL to lead a maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This direct-hire role focuses on TPM implementation, equipment upkeep, and collaboration with engineering and contractors.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of maintenance supervision experience, hands-on maintenance skills, and a proven ability to develop preventive maintenance plans. Strong problem-solving and Lean/5S knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in equipment and machine maintenance.
• Experience developing and running preventative maintenance plans.
• Schematic and hardware design experience.
• Experience with 8D and 5 Why problem-solving methodologies.
• Understanding of Lean, Kaizen, and 5S principles.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise employees in the maintenance department, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Interview, train, plan, assign, and direct work for maintenance staff.
• Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve problems.
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Implement and maintain Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
• Provide 24/7 support to staff and engineering teams.
• Partner with and coordinate outside contractors.
• Complete site preparation for new equipment and create new preventative maintenance plans for new equipment.
