Job summary

Venteon is seeking a 2nd Shift Materials Supervisor in Normal, IL to lead a hands-on materials handling team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes batch scheduling, cycle counting, and continuous improvement of receiving, storage, and shipping processes.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in materials supervision, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems, including QAD. This is a full-time, in-office position with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of materials supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and formal problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all material control systems, inbound/outbound shipments, and materials handling activities and inventory control primarily from the shop floor.
• Coordinate all material handler activities.
• Oversee warehouse layout activities.
• Train, coach, and develop the material handling team.
• Implement and assist in the development of cycle counting and pull systems for each commodity.
• Manage and coordinate the receiving and DMR processes.
• Manage the input of incoming receipts on a regular, timely basis.
• Manage the process of outbound shipments.
• Coordinate all customs compliance requirements.
• Observe Materials/Production operations within your area of control to ensure compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, 5S, and Production/Materials Standards.
• Ensure efficient operation of equipment and take corrective action to eliminate any deviation.
• Assist in maintaining and revising visual inventory benchmark standards.
• Daily coordination of Production build schedules.
